Three alleged robbers were tortured to death by a mob of angry villagers in Chak No. 517-GB, in Faisalabad district, during early hours of Wednesday.
The dacoits forced entry into the house of one Imdad Husain and held the entire family hostage. The robbers stole all the gold, jewellery and other valuables in the house. They also allegedly tortured the family after snatching rings and bangles from women.
Some female family members reportedly raised an alarm as a result of which the neighbours woke up. About 70 villagers equipped with all sorts of weapons available including, pistols, rifles, hockey sticks and iron-rods, rushed to encircle Imdad’s house.
As soon as the armed bandits emerged they threatened the villagers and demanded safe passage. However, they were swiftly overpowered by the villagers who reportedly snatched their guns.
The mob gave the bandits a severe thrashing during which the bandits cried for help and apologised but none paid any heed. Several villagers also fired at the dacoits inflicting bullet injuries and profuse bleeding.

well what do you expect when our maulvis and ulem have told us repeatedly how islamic heroes got and eye for an eye,how violence under the title of jihad is justified and glorious,how blowing yourself up and killing non-muslims will get you rewarded with 72 virgins in heaven,then we as a people believe in violent justice and now view violence in a positive 'mard-e-momin' sort of way. this glorification of violence by our religious fanatics should stop,it has already cost us 40,000 lives,we can't afford to lose more.
Well done the villagers of Chak No. 517-GB, Faisalabad district. I salute you for your courageous deed. Every one should show zero tolerance to crimes and criminals. Courts are too busy in Politics and Police in VIP duties. People must take the sacred act of justice in their hands and provide immediate respite. People of other areas must follow the example.
