FAISALABAD:

A sanitary inspector of Solid Waste Management was booked by the Anti Corruption Establishment (ACE) on charges of producing a fake certificate of matriculation.

According to police officials, Muhammad Arshad Ansari recently filed a written complaint addressed to the district coordination officer (DCO) alleging that Muneer Ahmad, a sanitary inspector who claims to hold an LLB degree in addition to a diploma of sanitary inspector had produced tampered certificates for his matriculation (Arts) examination, as well as a forged LLB degree to secure the position.

Ansari also alleged that candidates with matriculation in arts subjects were ineligible for admission in the diploma course of sanitary inspector.

The DCO ordered the ACE to probe into the matter and the agency conducted an enquiry.

The ACE found Ahmad guilty of producing tampered documents.

A case has been registered against Ahmad and he has been dismissed from service with immediate effect.
