LAHORE: The body of a man that went missing from the morgue of Mayo hospital in Lahore was later found with his beard and hair shaved off , Express News reported on Wednesday.

The infuriated relatives accused the hospital administration of selling the body to a medical college.

70-year Noor Ahmed went missing from the Raiwind Tableeghi Markaz earlier this month.

On June 23, Mazang police found Ahmed's body from Chobarji Park where and handed it over to Mayo hospital as they had not identified the body.

According to Noor Muhammad, a relative of the deceased who went to identify the body with the sub-inspector of Mazang police, the body was missing from the morgue. Hospital authorities had taken a photograph of the body, through which Muhammad identified his relative.

When Muhammad persistently demanded that his relative's body be handed to him, the body was later sent to his house in a private ambulance.

The beard and hair of the body were shaved off and the face had cuts and wounds.

The hospital administration failed to give Muhammad any justification about it.
