HARIPUR:

A man chopped off his wife’s nose before turning himself over to the Khanpur police on Monday. He accused her of having an affair with a man from the same locality.

The woman’s alleged boyfriend was later arrested from the man’s house, where he had reportedly been locked inside a room.

Station House Officer Muhammad Basheer Khan said that, Muhammad Riaz, a resident of Choee village, believed his wife, 22-year-old Ansar Bibi, was having an affair.

He said Riaz noticed a man quietly entering his wife’s room on Sunday, which infuriated him, leading him to chop off her nose with a razor after locking up the other man in her room.

Riaz then informed his wife’s parents, who took her to Khanpur Civil Hospital for primary treatment, after which she was shifted to District Headquarters Hospital Haripur for intensive care.

The police later arrested the alleged boyfriend, Ashiq Hussain, from Riaz’s house and registered separate cases against both men.

Iam sure that the male members amongst these animals dont injure the female members to the point of no return. These animals also have the advantage of having no divisions based on religion, faith, money or color. No concept of prophets, heaven or hell amongst these living beings. What has humanity come to be?

Well, every time I see that some woman got her nose cut off I just can't imagine how the guy can bring himself to do it. That's a brutal act requiring previous thought. Not an outburst of hurt and anger.
