QUETTA:

Doctors are still on strike, refusing to provide medical treatment at all state-run hospitals in the provincial capital even after a month of protests.

All out-patient departments remained closed on Saturday, while scheduled surgical procedures were called off. However, most of the doctors, who were sacked earlier by the government, continued to perform their duties at emergency wards.

According to the YDA, a delegation of the Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) will soon hold a meeting with Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani to discuss the doctors’ demands.
