Sindh seed company: Five kidnapped workers rescued

Police raided the area on a tip-off and found all the hostages after an exchange of fire.

Five kidnapped employees of the Sindh Seed Corporation were found from the woods near Daulatpur.


According to SP Investigations Aslam Langah, the police raided the area on a tip-off and found all the hostages after an exchange of fire. The hostages include the company’s assistant directors Sadiq Memon and Agha Shahid, marketing manager Abdur Raheem, sales officer Shareef Khushk and driver Rehmat Lal.

Their families have, however, claimed that they paid Rs5 million ransom through an influential man of Daulatpur. The workers were kidnapped on February 13 from the National Highway while they were going to Hyderabad from Halani. Nawabshah DPO said that they arrested a kidnapper, Manzoor alias Commando.
