QUETTA: At least five people, including three children, lost their lives in three separate incidents during the Eidul Fitr holidays in Balochistan.

In the first incident, three children were killed in a landslide in the Salyazi area of Zhob district when they were on their way for a picnic in a vehicle with their father Rehmatullah Safi, an electoral candidate from PB-12 Zhob.

Safi’s three children Nazir, Matiullah and Naseebullah died on the spot while he sustained injuries.

Six, including women, kids, killed in accident

Rescue workers accompanied by the Levies force personnel rushed to the spot and retrieved the bodies from the badly damaged vehicle stuck in the landslide. Injured Safi and the bodies of his children were shifted to a nearby hospital.

In another incident, a man drowned while swimming in a river in Killi Bring area of Zhob. Rescue workers rushed to the spot and pulled the body of Abdul Sattar out of the stream and shifted it to a nearby hospital.

In the third incident, a resident of Quetta drowned while swimming in the Bolan River. He was on a picnic.

Four killed in separate road accidents in Balochistan

Rescue workers retrieved the body of the victim Rehmatullah Achakzai and shifted it to Quetta.

Reportedly, six people were saved by life guards at Gadani beach and shifted to a nearby hospital.
