KARACHI: CID police had arrested four terrorists, including three TTP members , in Karachi, CCPO Saud Mirza revealed in press conference on Friday.

The three TTP members, Alam Zaib, Hasan and Inam ur Rehman were arrested from Orangi Town.

The members were involved in conspiring against the intelligence agencies and one of them was even planning a suicide attack.

The paraphernalia recovered from them consisted of 20 kilograms of explosive material, two hand grenades and three TT pistols.

Investigations revealed that there were more than a dozen other members of their group currently  present in Karachi.

Apart from the three TTP members, terrorist Wasi Iqbal, wanted in 26 target killing incidents, had also been arrested.

Post May 2 raid, Pakistan had been under pressure from the US and international community to step up its offensive against the terrorist and extremist elements in the country, which seem to have triggered a spate of arrests of TTP and Al-Qaeda members across the nation in the past few days.
