Two young men were struck by lightning in Jhuddo town of Mirpurkhas Thursday afternoon. One of them, Belu Bheel, died and the other, Dilip Kumar, was shifted to a hospital in a critical condition.
Thirty-year-old Naseer Saandh was reportedly killed by lightning in Khaijrarhi Saandh village in the Nagarparkar taluka of Tharparkar district. Another young man, Beram Meghwadh, became a victim of lightning strike in Manjhi Rind village of Tharparkar.

Three women, whose identities were not disclosed to the local media, were also reportedly killed during lightning strikes in villages Harpar Junejo, Garryo and Shahmeer Vikya in Tharparkar.
Accidents
Separately, seven persons lost their lives in road accidents in Mirpurkhas on Thursday.
A collision between a car and a motorcycle claimed the lives of four persons of the same family who were travelling on the motorcycle. The deceased include a couple, Ali Muhammad Solangi and Aqeela, their 10-year-old daughter, Samina, and the husband's nephew Mir Khan Solangi.
Road accident claims three lives
According to the police, the family was travelling from a rural town in Hyderabad, Husri, to Umerkot district. The police arrested the car driver, Abdul Hakeem, and impounded the vehicle. The deceased family had recently moved to Hyderabad for employment purposes.
In another accident on Mirwah Road in Mirpurkhas, three persons, including two brothers, were killed when a mini-truck hit two motorcycles Thursday afternoon. The deceased brothers were identified as Musadiq and Muqadas, whereas the other deceased was identified as Shahbaz Laghari. The police detained the truck driver but an FIR was not registered till this report was filed.
