April 01, 2011

The Express Tribune website is introducing a new automated feature which will allow readers access to news stories using ‘Flick and Click’ (FC) technology.

The FC is already in use on numerous platforms, most prominently, on Apple iPads and Gmail Motion. To take part in this trial post, please carry out the following actions using your mouse to access related posts and video content:

Flick right

1. Click and hold the left mouse button on any empty space within the post.

2. Flick your mouse three times to the right in half concentric circles – the movement should resemble a short jumping action, like a bouncing mouse. This will allow you access to related posts to the story.

Flick left

1. Click and hold the left mouse button on any empty space within the post.

2. Flick your mouse three times to the left in half concentric circles – the movement should resemble a short jumping action. This will allow you access to multimedia content related to the post.

Thank you for taking part in the trial launch of FC technology on The Express Tribune site. We hope you enjoyed the launch video accessible through the flick left option.

Please do leave feedback below so we can improve on the implementation to the rest of the site.
