"I was paid Rs 100,000 for suicide attacks"

SARGODHA: Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan commander Hanif Gabol surrendered himself to the police in Sargodha on Monday. Gabol is the head of the Seraiki Karwan chapter of TTP.

RPO Sargodha said Gabol confessed to planning suicide attacks in the past, and was planning to target important installations in different cities of Punjab.

Gabol was presented before the media where he admitted his role in several suicide attacks. This included an attack on an FC camp in DG Khan, a religious processions in Rawalpindi,and on a DPO office in Mianwali.

The TTP commander claimed he confessed to his crimes out of a guilty conscience and called on other militants to do the same.

He revealed that his group was paid Rs 100,000 for carrying out each attack, paid in half before and after the attack. Gabol said he received his training from Afghanistan.

Gambol said that he would accept any sentence. The arrested terrorist informed that he is a married man but does not have any children.

I.M | 13 years ago | Reply Pakistan should include the programs of Dr.Zakir Nayak to teach Islam to the Muslims in your country. Your Mullahs seem to have gotten it wrong from the word go. Passing Fatwa’s and converting these brain washed innocent children in to killing machines is not so simple, it is a continuous indoctrination. Zakir Nayak will enlighten them with the correct form of Islam.

The man met his supposed fate is highly unlikely as our courts usually set these terrorists free. We discuss Ajmal Kassab and Faisal Shehzad but the truth is there are people who are more ruthless,cruel, bloodthirsty and dangerous than them, people who don't hesitate to cut the throats of innocent people and enjoy blowing hundreds of men, women and children into pieces. There are hundreds of Gobols, Lahoris(Akram) and Zaqavis, and their supporters in media, governments and society always wash the blood of innocents from their hands.

And in a certain environment created by certain factors and actors, this species is rendered fatal. Religion in whatever form is awfully sacred sentiment and most of the times no argument touches its depth instead provokes it. Let us (all) think what to do about it? It is not simple challenge and it cannot be treated with use of force only and blatant use of force is always counterproductive. Culture of tolerance, prosperity and Justice (economic, political, and social) can prove very effective tools. Probably, a balance act might be prudent course.

In fact, tender age raw brain are briefed and inclined to do for paradise.According to them, here is nothing, do Jihad and find great in alternative. To face this problem Islamic clerics should stand and tell the new generation the real teaching of Islam. Islam mean peace and brotherhood and help other who are helpless.
