8 dead as passenger van plunges into ravine in Buner

BUNER: At least eight people were killed, and two critically injured after a passenger van plunged into a ravine in Buner district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) on Sunday.

“A passenger vehicle was on its way from Chagharzai to Swari when the driver lost control of the car, and it plunged into a gorge, resulting in the deaths of eight people,” a police official told The Express Tribune. “Two more people were injured in the incident."

Locals recovered the bodies of the victims from the wreckage and shifted the injured to District Headquarters Hospital, Daggar.

In a separate incident, six people, including a child, were killed after Lahore-bound Shalimar Express crashed into a car at a railway crossing in Gojra, Punjab.
