Notification: AJK appoints Kamal as new boss of PSC 

The ex-chairman and nine members of the commission were terminated from their services

MUZAFFARABAD: The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government on Wednesday issued the official notification of the appointment of Lt Gen (retd) Mohsin Kamal as the chairman of AJK Public Service Commission.

According to the notification issued by the Service and General Administration Department (S&GAD) Kamal will replace Justice (retd) Khawaja Shahd Ahmad.

Former secretaries of AJK government Nayeem Sheraz, Akram Sohial, Munir Hussain, educationists Matlooba Dar and Shaheen Ishahi, former jurist Nisar Hussain Shah and retired brigadier Muhammad Khan were appointed as members of the AJKPSC.

The ex-chairman and nine members of the commission were terminated from their services over an alleged marking scam. They were found involved in malpractice and gross illegalities. Meanwhile, The Express Tribune had published the appointment of Lt Gen (retd) Kamal as AJKPSC chief four days ago.
