RAWALPINDI: The congested Murree Road would be made signal-free at the Liaquat Bagh and Marrir intersections soon, to ease the flow of traffic, Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) official said. A plan to make these intersections signal-free has already been approved. The Rs10 million project would help overcome traffic jams on the main road, RDA spokesman Hafiz Muhammad Irfan said. Traffic on the city’s main thoroughfare remains blocked as large number of drivers use the route for travelling between the twin cities of Rawalpindi-Islamabad, especially during the peak hours.
