
The compendium, titled “Frequently Applied Police, Laws and Criminal Procedures: An Abridged Compendium”, includes relevant police statistics, legal abbreviations, police procedures and laws.
It entails pertinent anti-terrorism laws, special laws, the Constitution and rules of business. Additionally, it includes FIR, investigation and trial procedures.
It also has sections on the use of force by law enforcing agencies, preventive detention and human rights obligations.
The objective of the compendium is to collate frequently applied sections of laws and rules in one book for convenient and manageable application. This compilation is expected to be dispatched to 1,836 police stations, 115 district SSPs, DIGs, prosecution services, prisons and concomitant departments.
