ABBOTABAD: The police have yet to find any trace of a married mother-of-three who was allegedly kidnapped and taken to Afghanistan.

LS* of Gali Kotla Sialkot village, in Abbottabad, said that his wife, B*, went to fetch water from a spring in the village on July 12, but never returned. The police recovered her pitcher from the spring the next day, but despite his efforts, the police did not register an FIR against R* and A* until September 10. The kidnapping case was registered under PPC Section 365-B.

He also claimed that the local police were supporting the accused because they made no effort to recover her and were instead attempting to force him to compromise with the suspects. He said that during this time, his wife contacted him from unidentified cell phone numbers from Afghanistan and told him that she was in a house called Amman Ghar.
