Educating youth: Govt striving to promote education

BAHAWALPUR: The government is committed to promoting quality education to turn Pakistan into a modern welfare state, said Minister of State for Higher Education and Interior Baleeghur Rehman while speaking at a training programme on Friday.

The programme was organised by the education ministry and Children Global Network (CGN) under the ‘PARWAN’ project.

The minister said modern education project was launched in various districts and appreciated the efforts of the organisers for the training programme.

Earlier, CGN coordinator Shaheer Hassan said 17 pre-school education centres have been established in the far-flung areas of the district.
