RAWALPINDI: Members of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Defence Production led by Khawaja Sohail Mansoor visited the General Headquarters (GHQ) on Thursday. According to a press release issued by the ISPR, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif welcomed the parliamentarians at the GHQ. The chairman during the meeting thanked the army chief on behalf of all the visiting parliamentarians for a warm welcome at the GHQ. Mansoor said that the entire nation is proud of the armed forces and will always stand behind them during war and peace. The army chief had a detailed discussion with the parliamentarians on matters related to national security. The committee was also given a briefing by the director general military operations on the current security situation on the borders and the operational readiness of the Army.
