LAHORE: Pakistan is among the countries most vulnerable to climate change, observed Lahore High Court Chief Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah while highlighting climate issues at the Third Asian Judges Symposium on Law, Policy and Climate Change in Philippines.

He said the affects of climate change would have significant impacts on human migration. “There is an urgent need to address the threats that climate-related migration pose to human security and well-being,” he said.

He pointed out that an effective international guiding framework with a clear mandate for responding to climate change related to migration and human displacement was the need of the hour.
