Ammunition recovered from D I Khan

Express May 09, 2010

DI KHAN: D I Khan Police recovered a huge cache of weapons from the residence of Zahir Shah, a man wanted by police for the last 2 years, on Saturday.

However, Shah himself was not in the house at the time of the police raid.

The arms and ammunition that police have recovered from Shah's house included three anti-tank mines, 25 rockets and four hand grenades, alongside other explosive materials.

Police believe this ammunition could have been used for some large-scale terrorist activity in D I Khan.

A search operation is now underway to arrest Zahir Shah.
