MUZAFFARABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) chapter on Monday dissolved all their organising committees in the wake of the party’s defeat in the July 21 general elections in the region. A new organising committee was formed, that is headed by AJK former president Muhammad Yaqoob Khan. The other members of the organising committee include Chaudhry Latif Akbar, Pervez Ashraf, Sardar Ziaul Qamar, Faisal Mumtaz Rathore and Shaheen Kausar Dar. While talking to the media, Khan elucidated that senior party members who were on the periphery in the previous government would be given precedence in the forthcoming local government elections.
