Toll: Three die in rain related accidents in southern districts

MULTAN: At least three people died and several others were injured in rain related accidents across southern districts of the province on Saturday night.

Heavy rain had started at around 7pm. It lasted for four hours. In Multan, Saqib, 22, a resident of Samaijabad, died from an electric shock and Sohaib, 20, a resident of Chowk Shahabbas, in a roof collapse accident.

In Mian Channu, Shazia, 25, a resident of Chak No. 115-L, also died on an electric shock. Muhammad Arshad, 31, a resident of Chak No115-L, and Samia, 23, a resident of Deen Muhammad Colony, suffered injuries in roof collapse accidents and were taken to the district headquarters (DHQ) hospital. Four people were reported injured in Khanewal.

The Met Department recorded 45mm rain fall in Multan.
