BAHAWALPUR: Education EDO Chaudhry Bashir Ahmad on Friday ordered disciplinary action against 10 teachers and three workers of two public high schools for girls in the district.
Disciplinary action was ordered against the staff of Government Junior Model Girls High School and Government Girls high School in Habib Colony.
The EDO issued the orders during a visit to these schools. He found several staff members and workers absent. Later, he visited Government Girls Elementary School Basti Bindra.
The EDO ordered action against Headmistress Shahida Kosar and teachers Rabia Rasheed, Nayyar Sultana, Irum Saleem, Nelofar Liaqat, Farkhanda Anwer, Sumera Gulzar, Fouzia Batool, Atiqur Rehman over poor attendance. Disciplinary action was also sought against Gulam Nabi, Ghulam Abbas and Muhammad Bilal.
The EDO expressed displeasure over poor sanitation at the schools and directed the administration to ensure cleanliness in classrooms.
