Alternative medicine: Foundation of university recommended

ISLAMABAD: The members of National Council for Tibb (NCT) have sought financial as well as moral support of the government to establish an independent university for alternative medicine where homeopathic and mainstream medical practitioners can learn modern techniques of utilising and producing herbal resources and products.

The demand came at the 5th meeting of the council held here on Tuesday at the Pakistan Academy of Sciences.

An initiative for a research institute for alternative medicine can bring a big change in the current state of education and research in alternative medicine, NCT President Dr Zabta Shinwari.
