KARACHI: A group of armed men looted on Monday evening cash from a vehicle at Justice Inamullah Road near Hill Park.

According to Ferozabad police station SHO Kanson Dean, the security guard and driver of Paracha Money Exchange were on board their company's bullet-proof Suzuki Potohar jeep and going towards the exchange office when at least three armed men in a car intercepted their vehicle at gunpoint and looted their cash before fleeing.

The armed robbers stole at least Rs2 million, said SHO Dean, adding that the security guard did not retaliate despite having a gun.

He said that the police have detained the security guard and driver for questioning as they were out of their route.

Both the men [guard and driver] stopped the vehicle, even though it was bullet-proof, said Dean.

No case has been registered. However, the police have said that further investigations are underway.
