Anti-dengue day observed in Rawalpindi

An anti-dengue day was observed in the Rawalpindi City and the Cantonment with seminars, walks and other activities marking the day.

The Rawal Town Municipal Administration organised a seminar and a walk to create awareness among the masses of the virus and pre-emptive measures to control dengue.

Member National Assembly Tahira Aurangzaib, PML-N leaders Sardar Naseem,  Rawalpindi DCO Tallat Gondal, health and education officials and large number of people attended the seminar and participated in the walk.

MNA Aurrangzaib said that the government departments and citizens should join hands to control the virus.

The DCO said that an aggressive campaign has been launched to control spread of dengue during monsoon. He said that dozens of cases have been lodged against trade centers, tyre shops and hotels for dengue larva.
