Mufti Muneeb loses his cool over 'false' moon sighting claims

Ruet-e-Hilal Committee chairman rejects media reports claiming Shawwal moon has been sighted in various cities

Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee chairman Mufti Muneebur Rehman got furious Tuesday evening over flawed news floating on private TV channels that the Shawwal moon has been sighted in various parts of the country.

Rejecting all media reports, he got up from his seat and grabbed a phone set from a person sitting on one side and unplugged its cable aggressively.

Mufti Muneeb said the matter was of utmost importance and must not be taken casually.

He condemned the TV channels circulating wrong news, saying they were misleading the masses.

“Everyone here wants to be a chairman of the committee. We will announce our decision in line with the Shariah,” Mufti Muneeb said while leaving the room angrily.

May I remind u Eidhi incident... Besides initial claims of moon sighting in Lhr by neice n daughter of some major are creditworthy to which extent, I leave it up to the readers

Jogger | 7 years ago | Reply I have utmost respect for the Mufti Muneeb, not because he is mufti of Pakistan but due to his sincere and humble conduct of affairs and the descretion he deals with I dont blame him in this scenario for losing his cool, he stayed calm despite all the bickering and pestering by rating thirsty media journalist who unfortunately believe they are righteous for in their despicable conduct and wouldnt let go even of this religiously important event to make money from.
