New Multan G Block resident Shakir was engaged in a property dispute with his sister Saira, his brother-in-law Hanif and his brother Zubair. According to police officials, the family had recently been in a fight with regards to the distribution of their inheritance and that the accused had threatened Shakir’s life. Shakir’s father Noor Ahmed allegedly kidnapped the child Bakhtawar from her mother Khalida and brought her to his house. The child was shot and killed and her body was later sent to her parents.
Shakir has accused his father and brother of the murder and said that they wanted to see the entire family imprisoned for the crime.
New Multan Police officials have arrested Shakir’s brother-in-law Hanif and have registered a case.
New Multan SHO Shahid has sent the child’s body for an autopsy and are waiting for the results to proceed with the investigation.
