Mardan board: Name of first position holder replaced

Abbas Anwar told media he got 1,043 numbers in the exams

SWABI: The first position holder in matriculation exams has accused the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Mardan authorities of removing his name from the list of top three position holders.

Abbas Anwar told media he got 1,043 numbers in the exams, which is the highest among all the students, but his name was replaced with Sara Khizar’s by the board. He added Sara secured 1,041 marks. The district general secretary, Advocate Muhammad Ishfaq, slammed the Mardan board for removing Abbas’ name and replacing it with someone’s who got less marks.

Ishfaq along with the family members of Abbas have urged the provincial government and Peshawar High Court to look into the matter and provide justice by placing Abbas’ name on top of the list.
