British singer and songwriter, Sami Yusuf and sufi maestro Rahat Fateh Ali Khan have collaborated and come up with a rendition of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan's famous qawwali, Mast Qalandar.

The qawwali has been making waves since its release and has hit over a million views on YouTube. Fans have been overjoyed with this surprising collaboration between the music giants.

This version kicks off with Rahat's alaap and the British singer taking over from there. While the great Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan's original qawali is incomparable, the new rendition is impactful.

The qawwali was expected to be a tad more powerful but it was sung in a soft tone by Sami. However, he does make a comeback right at the end with a strong chorus.

Rahat, even with his small part manages to stir a lot of nostalgia and leaves us begging for more.
