Safe City Project: Over 60 CCTV cameras installed

Falcon police patrolling vehicles with one officer and two constables have also been assigned

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Interior has installed 64 CCTV cameras in main parks of the capital under the Safe City Project.

Out of them, 60 cameras have been made operational.

These cameras have been installed as part of steps taken by the government to ensure safety of public parks in Islamabad.

A total of 33 CCTV cameras were installed in Shakarparian area, 11 at Shahdara View Point, 10 in Lake View Park, and five each in F-9 Park and Play Land/Marghazar Zoo.

Moreover, the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police have taken measures for safety and security
of citizens visiting parks, with deployment of four police personnel in main parks, and three each in small parks to watch the activities of suspected persons.

A strength of 51 including two SPs, four ASPs/DSPs, 10 inspectors and 35 constables have been deployed at major parks of the capital.

Falcon police patrolling vehicles with one officer and two constables have also been assigned to make frequent visits of parks to prevent any untoward incident.
