Security Measures: Seek clearance for foreign speakers: HEC

This should happen at least two to three weeks before the commencement of the scheduled event

KARACHI: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) issued directives to all the public and private sector universities, which are affiliated with the HEC, to seek security clearance before inviting any foreign guest speaker at their seminars and conferences. This should happen at least two to three weeks before the commencement of the scheduled event, said the directives are issued by the HEC due to the prevailing security situation.
