PM house full: Screening of Sharmeen Chinoy’s documentary today

A special screening of Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy's documentary 'A Girl in the River: The Price of Forgiveness’ will be held at the Prime Minister’s Office today.


The documentary nominated for the 88th Academy Awards in the Documentary (Short Subject) category.


‘A Girl in the River: The Price of Forgiveness’ is Chinoy’s second documentary to be nominated for an Academy Award presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS). Her documentary ‘Saving Face’ had won Pakistan its first Oscar in 2011.


Acknowledging Chinoy's extraordinary achievements, Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif had announced that a screening of her documentary would be held at the PM’s Office.


PM Sharif will grace the event with foreign dignitaries, leading opinion makers and prominent personalities from different walks of life attending the screening.
