Actor is set to play a villain in her Hollywood movie debut alongside Dwayne Johnson.

Bollywood actor Priyanka Chopra has revealed the character she is playing in her Hollywood debut, the reboot of hit 90s TV series Baywatch, was initially set to be played by a man.

In a recent interview with the Press Trust of India, Priyanka made an interesting revelation about her role in the upcoming film, saying, "The role was initially written for a man and they were talking to me for another part."

Interestingly, the former Miss World won over the filmmaker and he decided to change the gender of the character. "After the director met me, they thought I would be better as a villain and then they changed the character to that of a female," Times of India quoted PeeCee as saying.

Priyanka Chopra to play villain in 'Baywatch' movie

Priyanka has been offered a role in the movie adaptation of popular 90s TV show and will be seen alongside Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson. She will be playing the role of a villain Victoria Deeds in the upcoming movie.

The Bollywood actor will be seen taking on the Rock and his squad in the Seth Gordon directorial. "It was really exciting that they changed the role for me. You have to be a very strong character to take on 'The Rock' and the entire lifeguard squad. They will be six whereas I am alone. It looked very cool to me," she said.

The Bajirao Mastani actor, who has previously played negative characters in Bollywood films such as Aitraaz and 7 Khoon Maaf, cannot wait to take on a similar avatar once again.

"It is so much fun to play a negative character because you have the liberty to go out of your comfort zone and do anything. Victoria is a very mean character," said Priyanka.

It seems that the actor is set to show her tough side this year as she will also be seen taking on the role of a cop in Prakash Jha's Jai Gangaajal, slated to release on March 4.
