Bacha khan university attack: Political parties remember victims

SWABI: Members of Pakistan Peoples Party Swabi chapter held a prayer on Friday for victims of the attack on Bacha Khan University in Charsadda on Wednesday. The party members gathered at the hujra of Naeem Khan. PPP district president Javed Iqbal Inqalabi and other party members were also in attendance and condemned the attack. They demanded the government provide a medal of courage or Tamgha-e-Jurat to the slain chemistry professor, Dr Hamid Husain. Members of Awami National Party Swabi chapter also held a gathering to remember the slain students and staff. Prayers were offered for the departed souls and the recovery of the injured ones. Haji Ameerur Rehman Khan and Muhammad Islam Khan said a conspiracy was under way to destroy the next generation of Pukhtuns.
