Supermodel Cybil Chowdhry gives us a peek into her daily routine and talks about her love for clean houses, pickles and why she does not like BTS videos

10am:

Alarm goes off and instantly I hit snooze, 10 minutes later alarm starts ringing again…SNOOZE!

11am:

Finally I convince myself to get out of bed and start the day.

1pm:

I make it to the Ather Shahzad studio in one piece; this Lahori traffic is on steroids.

2pm:

Since I’ve been away in the States with my children for the past month, before we start on makeup, I have a long gossip and catch-up session with the make-up assistants at the studio. For those who don’t know, one can get the most delicious home-made food at Ather Shahzad. There is nothing like ghar ka khana.

3pm:

The life of a model is not as glamorous as one might think. It takes a lot of patience and hard work, along with constantly bearing our hair being pulled and scalp being poked around by pins.

4pm:

All set and ready to take on these 15 formal outfits. I have been working with Ather and Shahzad for over 15 years and needless to say I am most comfortable working with them, so even the hardest tasks become easy and fun.

6pm:

Shooting.

7pm:

Camera crew come and set up for the BTS (behind the scenes) video. I do not understand why everyone wants BTS footage all the time. Personally I feel that social media and BTS images ruin the fun of the shoot, as everyone sees the collection before the shoot is even out. Anyway, you have got to do what you have got to do.

8pm:

By this time I can see the shoot wrapping you. With only two outfits left, I start chalking out dinner plans and I feel like having Chinese! I always feel like having Chinese food.

9pm:

OH NO!!! We’ve accidentally counted two outfits as one! Argh! Now instead of having just two outfits left I have 4! There goes my big plan of Chinese dinner!

10pm:

The shoot continues.

12am:

Exhausted and completely drained I am finally home.

2am:

First order of business is to cleanse my face. I use Sephora eye make- up remover and Ponds cleansing crème to take off the layers of makeup. It takes me at least 30-40 minutes to properly cleanse my face before I’m satisfied and can sleep!

3am:

After watching an episode of ‘True Detective’, I’ve finally passed out and am happily snoring away, dreaming sweet dreams. Now tomorrow I get to take on the task of finding myself a good stove/oven.
