Vehicle collision leaves three dead in Haripur

A councillor and associates were killed while another one was injured in automobile accident near the village of Mohra

HARIPUR: Three persons were killed Tuesday while another was injured when a dumper truck caused a collision with a second vehicle near Haripur's Mohra Village.

The driver of the dumper truck was reportedly speeding when he collided with a car on the GT Road near Mohra village, in the wee hours of Tuesday.

Three were killed on the spot while a fourth person was injured in the collision. Those killed have been identified as Tariq Khan Tareen, Goher Rehman and Iqbal.

"The three died on the spot," Sera-e-Saleh police officials said. The further stated that "A general councilor, Tariq Khan Tareen, was en route to his home with his friends."

Reports further stated that a recklessly driven dumper truck rammed the car, leaving three dead, while the truck driver, Muhammad Naeem; remains injured.

Deadly collisions: Five killed in accidents

All the bodies, together with the driver were shifted to the Women's and Children's Hospital in Haripur, after which Naeem was transferred to the Ayub Medical Complex in Abbottabad where his condition was diagnosed to be critical.
