KARACHI: Sindh Health Minister Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar has requested the chief secretary to provide additional police force and law enforcement personnel for the security of polio teams in the city. Polio must be eradicated from the city, said Dahar. He will hold meetings in different parts of the province to see ground realities in healthcare facilities. He added that all efforts will be made to provide better healthcare facilities to the people. Ten absent doctors have been called for a hearing, of which only two doctors appeared, he pointed out. Over the situation, Dahar directed the health secretary to take strict action against the ghost doctors and issue final show-cause notices to them. If they failed to comply with the order, they might be removed from service.
