Ppi January 06, 2011

Almost two thirds of all Pakistanis (64 per cent) stated that they seek forgiveness for their sins from the Creator everyday, 28 per cent sometimes and 7 per cent never. This was revealed by a recent survey conducted by Gilani Research Foundation, Gallup Pakistan, the affiliate of Gallup International.

In the survey, a nationally representative sample of 2,599 men and women from across the country were asked the following question: Some people are in a habit of seeking forgiveness for their sins everyday. How often would you say you do that? Sixty-four per cent claimed to often repent daily, 28 per cent sometimes and 7 per cent said never. 1 per cent gave no response.

The survey was conducted during November 2010 across all four provinces of the country. The findings of the survey revealed no significant difference in opinion of people from across various demographics.

The error margin is estimated to be approximately + 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.

AHR | 13 years ago | Reply So what's the big deal? It's strictly between them and God, no one has the right to ask them to repent and neither should anyone have an issue if they repent. Seems like this particular research setup is fully faarigh these days and resorting to surveys such as how many times u repent and who do u consider beautiful. what next? how many times you brush your teeth or who is ur secret crush? Seriously, it's this approach of encroaching into people's personal lives that has lead to a messed up social structure.
