Rural health centre: Illegal private medical store sealed

DC Taslim also recommended disciplinary actions, through a letter to district health officer (DHO)

HARIPUR: Haripur deputy commissioner sealed an unauthorised private medical store on Tuesday, within the premises of the rural health centre (RHC). According to Qasim Shah, a public information officer, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Taslim Khan raided the RHC of Mera Klinger on public complaints. A medical technician, Muhammad Rafiq, was arrested for illegal operation of a private medical store within the government health facility. The DC also seized a considerable quantity of homeopathic/allopathic medicines that the technician was selling to patients without any official licences. DC Taslim also recommended disciplinary actions, through a letter to district health officer (DHO), against dental technician Mohammad Naeem, medical technician Masooma Bibi and ward orderly Sarwar Shah for prolonged absences without notice.
