Blind murder case: Ex-husband held for wife’s murder

Police in Sihala have arrested two suspects in connection with a blind murder case of a woman. One of the accused is the woman’s ex-husband. According to a news release on Friday, a police spokesperson said police received information that a woman with serious stab wounds had been found near Rawat. She succumbed to her injuries while being taken to a local hospital. A case was registered by the Sihala police. Police succeeded in arresting the deceased’s ex-husband, Muhammad Shahbaz, a resident of Sargodha, and his friend Muhammad Naseer, a resident of Model Town Humak. Investigation revealed that Shahbaz had divorced his wife and married his sister-in-law; which became a sore point between the Shahbaz and his former wife, police said.
