Pakistan, he said, was created in the name of Islam but the objectives of creating a separate country have still not been achieved. “The nation will have to struggle for this,” he said, adding that he has forwarded his thoughts and manifesto to the people.
The PTI chief said his career as a cricketer had given him an opportunity to observe the world. “Europe has achieved the height of progress and development despite a scarcity of resources,” he said. “But the masses in Pakistan, despite its tremendous natural resources, are deprived of basic facilities.”
He claimed that Pakistan was being governed with the law of the jungle. “The rule of the might is right here,” he said.

Condemning the privatisation of Wapda and other institutions, Imran said the PTI would collect money from the rich and distribute it among the poor. He said the rulers wanted to privatise Wapda because they would get cutbacks.
He lamented 18-hour-long power outages in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa despite the province producing the bulk of electricity in the country. “People are eager to fight a war because of this injustice,” he reasoned.

Imran said Quaid-e-Azam, Bacha Khan, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Mufti Mehmood were the real leaders of the nation. “One can differ with their political thoughts but fingers cannot be raised on their sacrifices and selfless leadership,” he said. “Today their heirs have abandoned their path and their politics, and have adopted the politics of self-interest.”
