What will be the ninth instalment of PSFW is expected to feature prêt, luxury prêt, high-street and lawn trends that will dominate 2016, with a special focus on fashion suitable for the long-drawn-out summer season in the region. In an attempt to let each category stand on its own, PFDC will dedicate three separate showcases to them within PSFW, namely luxury/Prêt designers, high-street brands, and textile houses.
Bridal Couture Week soon to be back
The PFDC is accepting applications from interested fashion and textile houses on their official website, who fulfill the criteria that they must be registered tax payers with the relevant tax authorities in Pakistan and that they should be submitted by November 26 at the council’s head office.
The platform promises to include some of the most anticipated labels and serve as a launch pad for some of Spring/Summer 2016’s designer lawn collections. Names of selected fashion designers, high-street and textile brands will be announced in February next year.
PSFW 2015 was a well-rounded affair, with showcases from designers such as Misha Lakhani and Sana Safinaz and textile houses including Alkaram Studio and Gul Ahmed. With a bagful of hits and misses, the four-day fashion extravaganza had managed to rivet the attention of the fashion-savvy.
