
The apex court directed the residency builders to submit Rs100 million: Rs50 million in cash and the remaining with related documents along with a bank guarantee.
The decision was issued after the builder accepted the residential facility had been erected in violation of the rules and regulations, saying the 200 families in the complex had no knowledge of the illegalities involved.
SHC suspends temporarily eviction of Moon Gardens’ residents
On September 29, the SHC directed the police and Sindh Building Control Authority to get the building vacated and demolished, only to suspend its order till November 18.
Subsequently, on November 11, the court ordered police to arrest the builder involved in the construction.
