On amy jhonson’s route: Aviator Tracey Taylor reaches Pakistan

Taylor has undertaken this tour to pay homage to Amy Johnson and her epic solo flight to Australia in 1930

KARACHI: Tracey Curtis Taylor, an aviator and adventurer from New Zealand landed in Gwadar in her vintage open cockpit biplane a 1942 Boeing Stearman, on Monday, a PAF spokesman said. Taylor was received by Squadron Leader Saira Batool of Pakistan Air Force. PAF will host Taylor during her short stay in Pakistan before departing for her next destination. The 53 years old renowned aviation enthusiast started her journey from Farnborough, England which will culminate in Sydney, Australia. Taylor has undertaken this tour to pay homage to Amy Johnson and her epic solo flight to Australia in 1930. Where possible, Taylor will be following Amy Johnson’s route and relive her dramatic adventures. She plans to arrive in Sydney in early 2016.
