By defeating Canada’s Derek Martin 4-0, Sajjad maintained his winning streak — stretching to six games now — in the competition.
He overpowered Martin in the first frame 87-10 and followed it up by another convincing 93-30 win to build a strong 2-0 lead. He then hit a break of 114 in the third frame to take the match out of the Canadian’s grasp and went for the jugular in the fourth frame to win 82-15.
Meanwhile, Shahram Changezi finished second in Group T after losing to Hong Kong’s Lee Chun Wai 62-2, 69-26, 8-69, 72-32, 55-53. The Islamabad-based player has won three out of his five matches in the championship so far.
