IBSF Championship: Pakistan quartet through to knockouts

All four Pakistani cueists have progressed through in the competition being held in Egypt

All four Pakistani cueists playing in the IBSF World Individual Snooker Championship have progressed to the knockout stages of the event being played in Hurghada, Egypt.


Abdul Sattar currently tops his four-man Group J after winning two consecutive matches, with his latest victory coming against Australia Jeremy Liedtke, whom he beat 4-0.


IBSF world event: Changezi maintains winning streak


Meanwhile, Mohammad Sajjad has already won four matches in Group N to confirm his berth in the knockouts. Shahram Changezi is currently second in Group T after winning his third match — out of the four he has played so far — against Yemen’s Ahmed Salooni in straight frames with a scoreline of 97-0, 128-05, 98-16 and 60-27. Former IBSF world champion Mohammad Asif also leads Group V with three back-to-back wins.
