Empowerment: ‘Women can do’ project set for launch
The project is to be executed in 12 women universities
ISLAMABAD:
The project, ‘Women Can Do’ aims at capacity building and enhancement of women’s motivation and entrepreneurial skills and will be launched on Monday. The project is to be executed in 12 women universities and six large-scale seminaries in district headquarters of all provinces and plans on training at least 3,000 women. The launch will be attended by representatives of the US embassy, women entrepreneurs, regional heads of women chambers of commerce and industry and women activists from social and business sectors. The project will be executed by Shaoor Foundation for Education and Awareness and partnered by TEDx inspirational speaker Muniba Mazari and Muhammad Ibrahim Mirza, an entrepreneur and trainer. Comprising 72 training sessions, 36 inspirational talks and 36 mentoring lectures with assistance from SMEDA, First Women Bank Limited and IT professionals, the project includes strong information, education and communication components.
