KARACHI: The Anti-Narcotics Force, Sindh (ANF) claims to have foiled a narcotic smuggling bid in Karachi by seizing a huge cache of narcotics on Friday. Officials said that in an intelligence-based operation, ANF officials and personnel intercepted a truck near the Raees Baba hotel located on the main Hub River Road. The spokesperson said that the ANF officials, while searching the truck, recovered 1,000 kilogrammes of fine quality hashish. The drugs were hidden in the truck’s additional fuel tanks. The huge consignment was destined for Karachi, as well as other cities of the province, mainly targeting the younger generation, said the spokesperson.
