Road Project: Bidding for Thakot-Havelian under way
An official of NHA said that for land acquisition of the project Rs5 billion have been allocated

Financial offer of the lowest bidder for the construction of 120 km Thakot-Havelian section of the China-Pak Economic Corridor (CPEC) is being evaluated by the National Highway Authority (NHA) and the project will be completed within three years from the date of commencement. An official of NHA told APP that Rs20.5 billion have been allocated for Thakot-Havelian section construction phase-I of the CPEC which was approved by the Economic Executive Committee of National Economic Council (ECNEC) in December last year. He said that for land acquisition of the project Rs5 billion have been allocated. He said that so far Rs1.37 billion have been released for the construction of the Thakot-Havelian section while Rs10 billion have been released for land acquisition.
